Megatron vs iView Classmate: 2-in-1 Laptop Comparison

Quick Answer

Choose the iView Classmate 141E3950 if you need more RAM and storage for multitasking; pick the Megatron 4G LTE if you prefer a faster processor and a lower starting price.

Processor and Performance Trade-off

The iView Classmate 141E3950 runs on an Intel Atom E3950 quad-core processor (up to 2.0 GHz), which is efficient for everyday tasks like browsing, office apps, and streaming. The Megatron 4G LTE uses an Intel Pentium J3710 dual-core processor that can boost to 2.6 GHz. While the Pentium has a higher peak speed, the Atom has four cores that can handle more simultaneous tasks without slowing down. This means the iView Classmate may feel smoother when you have multiple apps open, while the Megatron may feel snappier in single-threaded tasks like web browsing.

RAM and Storage Differences

The iView Classmate 141E3950 comes with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, while the Megatron 4G LTE has 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage. If you frequently work with several browser tabs, office documents, or light photo editing, the 8 GB RAM in the iView Classmate will provide a smoother experience without lag. The Megatron's 4 GB RAM is adequate for basic tasks like email, note-taking, and streaming, but you may need to close apps to keep performance stable.

4G LTE Connectivity

Both laptops support 4G LTE data via a SIM card, making them suitable for mobile workers who need internet on the go. The iView Classmate 141E3950 supports AT&T and T-Mobile data SIM cards with Band B2/4/5/12/13/66/71. The Megatron 4G LTE also supports the same bands. If you rely on a different carrier, check compatibility before purchase.
